Wait we're going Herman to Leach??? Wow. I haven't really heard anyone even mention this guy until now. I would say no thanks.

His attutitude would not mesh well with a big time program. Places like Washington state orntexas tech are perfect for him.

that weirdo would never be accepted in baton rouge. he also would not be able to recruit well in Louisiana. this would NEVER happen

The few high points would be great and hilarious. The low points would be epic dumpster fires that would put rival the Curly years.

I think he's great at a Texas Tech or WSU where the media spotlight doesn't shine too brightly on his eccentricity. I'm not sure whether or not it would be fair to say he drops games that he shouldn't (when almost all coaches do) but I feel somewhat confident that he would be something of a spectacle with the media when he disliked a reporter.

At a major program with success and expectations would come more coverage and some of that would be wrong or unfair. He would not brook that kind of coverage willingly or wear it lightly.

That being said, he's also semi-retarded.

Mike Leach would be an incredibly bad hire.

maybe so. not likely a good fit personality wise in baton rouge. leach is not cut from the same kind of cloth as most modern day football coaches. he's insanely smart though. for someone to call him "retarded" is super dumb.

I don't think that he has any interest in coaching in a high vis program.
