If for no other reason than to piss Saban off.

From an article in SEC Country:
"The (Head Coaching search) chain reaction continues if the Ducks don’t choose Taggart and the USF job doesn’t open up. Kiffin could then decide to become the offensive coordinator at LSU. Alabama head coach Nick Saban reportedly wants to avoid that, so he’s been advocating for Kiffin’s potential as a head coach."

Good Lord, man…he's micromanaging the careers of his assistant coaches?

Saban resets the bar on "control freak".

No coach would want one of their coordinators to take a coordinator job at another school in the conference

You think Miles was happy for Chavis going to A&M?

The obsession with Saban is sickening. We should hire based on qualifications and who will bring us the best offense and opportunity to win. Kiffin is not that guy.

Losing 6 in a row to this guy is sickening.

Kiffin is qualified. Moreso than most available OC's - with the added benefit of his and O's relationship.
It's a plus.

I don't want to lose anymore than the next guy, however, if you think Kiffin is the best we can do, you are sorely mistaken.

For right now, where we are as a program, what we need developing QB's, who is available, and for who our HC is, yes - I think he's the best option.

Agreed.

However, we've got what we've got. I'd just like to make little Nicky as miserable as possible.

He gets miserable when he loses. What's going to happen is Auburn will hire Briles and make Saban's life miserable every year. He hates that type of O. He hasn't figured out how to stop it.

I'm with this guy.

I think kiffin would do well, but his time at Bama has been spent with the best oline in football year after year. People can't expect the same results.

What makes Kiffin the must hire of the month? He was only good under Pete and Nick. LSU does not have a strong personality coach like those two. The only thing that kept him in coaching was his daddy. So all of a sudden a few years at Bama and his is Golden Boy?

This is exactly why I dislike the kiffin pampers.

Can't think for ourselves, so copy Alabama, but worse?

Not a good reason there. You hire an OC that will be the best play caller for the type of offense the HC envisions. Whatever offense O wants to be installed (which I am sure is somewhere in the magical binder) needs an accompanying OC who understands how to design plays to fit the plan. And someone who is flexible and can design an offense that can compliment the talent he inherited until his input on prospects is fully realized the next recruiting cycle. Hopefully someone who can stay at least three years. Within Kiffin we would be lucky to get two out of him if he was hired.

Bailor ? If you want to piss Saban off go after the guy he's been on the job training for a fricking year. OC Cutty Shark dialing it up & knocking it back !!! They're at least 5 really good OC coaches available IMO. At least coach O is doing the hiring not Joe.
