I'm kind of surprised that no one has commented on this name being thrown around. Out of all the names mentioned, this one raised my eyebrows. I hadn't considered him at all but once he was mentioned it makes perfect sense.

There was talk of O interested in hiring Curtis Johnson for WR coach after D Craig was let go. Maybe he's trying to replace Micky Joseph with Johnson?

I got word last night from a very large donor who flew to the Saints game on an LSU jet that it was going to be Freeze.

Saban must be on high alert at this point.

That's the reason Aranda was part of the meeting with O and Canada after Troy."

If this is true, then what a baby Canada is for crying to Alleva. (if this is true) Shame on CEO for wanting an OC that will also work with the rest of the staff and is open to input from other coaches like Aranda as opposed to one who gets his feelings hurt. We know DC's often give input to OC's and vice versa.

Where was this donor located where they needed an LSU jet to get to just New Orleans?

You have half who will shite anything positive for O. The other half will shite on anything negative. This place is so fricked up. Nothing will change no matter who the coach or coordinators are. Everyone just wants to say I told you so.

I have no idea if your sauce is good or not, but in any event, I think the best thing that could happen is for the good ole boys to sit back down.

The one thing Emmert and Saban did was to put a lid on that old boy network that had been meddling around with the team since Huey Long. That lasted through Saban and Miles kept it going for awhile till he overstayed his term. Now it seems like we're back to square one.

I agree with what someone said in a thread yesterday - let O make the call. If he screws it up, he will be gone sooner or later. If the money guys keep meddling, we may never get back on track.

I've witnessed these rich cats fly from Shreveport to BR for a game. I could see them flying from north Louisiana to NO.

It's kind of like the idiom "born on third base and thought he hit a triple." O was gifted this job without earning it, now he expects to be treated as if he accomplished something? Of course he has limited power. He was put there to be controlled. A HC should have a great deal of power. But they clearly don't respect him enough to give him carte blanche like a respected coach would get. It's all why he was a bad idea in the first place

I don't disagree with any of that. If Alleva was going to hire him as HC he has to be given those powers and authority. If not, he shouldn't have hired him. I would imagine O was hoping he could win the admins over and slowly gain the power and it didn't happen as planned when the season took a bad turn early on. IDK. It's just a mess.

Yeah a lot of people dont want to believe this but Aranda was heavily involved.

LSUs offense will always work hand and hand with Aranda D. There will be no HUNH

Got Damnit! I was trying to stay away from here until something was decided. Because its exhausting. But this info seems legit and once again I'm pulled back in.

I have no problem hiring Freeze, providing a private cell, and letting him call Florida all he wants.

I don’t think Lombardi becomes a hot prospect at all. He already got his shot with the Lions and was fired mid season.

I don’t think any Saints offensive assistants are or will be sought after. The book is kinda out, most have failed without Sean. Lombardi, Curtis Johnson, Aaron Kromer. Only Doug Marrone has had success.

Now this makes the most sense, so stop the cheap shots at Coach O. Just like in business, you hire a marketing person hoping to bring more business to the company and it doesn't work out. What course of action do you take? fire him and find someone to do a better job.

Thanks for the truth on this matter!

I appreciate the "inside" information but if I was Eaux I would be pissed that "a friend on staff for LSU football" was running his mouth. Of course, the leak may be by design to quell the Ensminger mutiny?

I was told last week that Freeze would likely be on staff in some way but it probably would not be as OC due to his "baggage".
