True. He may indeed be the hire, but there's no smoke aside from this board. If people really believe what they say about Woodward, would a lot of smoke be a good sign or a bad one?

It's not spin. It's exactly what he said, and later reiterated.
This board takes all this smoke and mirrors BS way too seriously.
Harpooned =/= landed. By very definition, they are two very different things. I can hook a giant fish and not land it. It can break the line.

Many Oklahoma coaches had strong connections with, and links to,, the Dallas Cowboys, and Cowboys coaches conversely with links to Oklahoma.
Switzer was one, sure. Also Les Miles, Jimmy Johnson, Chan Gailey, to name a few.

He was never offered. His dream job is the cowboys. The timing wasn’t right the last time, but he wasn’t offered anyways because he had already told Jerry that he couldn’t do it yet. After he wins a title in college, and his daughters get slightly older, he’ll make the jump. But he wants to win something first, so LSU fans won’t mind, because he’d have a national title for them under his belt before jumping.

Since we’re talking about humans and not animals, harpooning means landed.
If it were an animal then it means we put a big spear into something that does not want a spear in it.
Riley is not an animal and we aren’t out hunting something that does not want to be here. We are trying to hire someone that wants to be here.
You’re telling us that we put a spear in Riley and he didn’t want that?
