Honestly as bad as this season has been so far, I'd hope the administration wouldn't be stupid enough to pay the buyout without knowledge that either Herman or Fisher would take the job come end of season. If they didn't have solid interest from either of them I would think they would've let Miles finish the year out.

My guess? After the Wisconsin game they called Herman/Fisher, made the offer and said we'll get rid of Miles the next game he loses so you know how serious we are. Herman/Fisher said yes and here we stand.

I think that LSU gets their man in Herman.

Backup answer is LSU lands Dan Mullen (which I don't have a problem)

I think it's Coach O unless we are catastrophically bad down the stretch.

Bold prediction, as in one we are not hearing a lot about? PJ Fleck.
Rising guy in coaching that'll see a big time program come calling soon.
Casual fans would hate the hire.

I don't why some fans are so high on Kiffin. He failed in Oakland and at USC. He was at 7-6 Tenn.

He is a very good OC but he's not a good HC in my opinion.

"I think LSU whiffs on Fisher and Herman. I think Fedora will campaign hard for the job and ultimately get it. That is my guess."

If LSU whiffs on their first choice after firing Miles then Joe needs to be shown the door ASAP. You don't pull the trigger on a firing (especially during the season) unless you are a %100 sure of getting what you want.

LSU screwed.

End Up with Fisher, Fedora, Patterson, or some current coach in the SEC West....and we're no better than we currently are now.

Coach O and/or Kiffin. Not a popular choice but LSU decision makers might see value in getting them together again. Saban will give his blessing for Kiffin.

Petrino = buyout is too much he is too shady
Jimbo = unrealistic
Herman = waits for aTm or UT or USC
Shaw = ridiculous to even mention his name

jimbo is realistic

Agree with rest

SKip said Kiffen has too much baggage, Pitrino as well

won't happen

for a prediction, somewhat bold, I'll say Mike Macintyre. Even though he was hired at Duke after Alleva had left for LSU, I'm betting Cutcliffe (who Alleva hired) recommends him and couple that with the [apparent] recent success/turnaround at CO.

Before I thought coach o had to win out to get the job. But he has been playing the pr game like a master this week. He has the fans in a frenzy. If jimbo and Herman say no, the job is o's imo. This is assuming he puts up a halfway decent record.

I don't know who we get, but I know we are very serious about getting the best coach we can and will pay whatever it takes.
