What would be your opinion on the new head coach retaining Daronte Jones as DC?

I think he has done a solid job considering the injuries and stagnant offense (see Auburn, Ole Miss, and Alabama games). But we still had pretty big defensive letdowns against UCLA, Florida, and Kentucky.

I’ll let Saban bring his own staff.

You think he’s done at UW now? I figured he would get another year before his suspension for hitting a player. He’s was a hell of a DC there.

His best case scenario is to coach rest of year. He is out guaranteed though. Udub is done with him.

And Auburn. And Ole Miss.

No thanks.

Hopefully the new head coach will bring in his own assistants. Both Jones and Peetz need to go. In fact, the whole staff should be out, with maybe the exception of Corey Raymond.

Pruitt isn't going to be a dc for a couple years.

Why would McDonald leave Michigan?

I'd be let down. I don't hate the guy, I think he has been hamstrung with O trying to implement Ed's own defense and not letting Jones do his actual job but when it gets to the 9th game of the season and the defense just improves, with third string guys, I don't like that. (I mean I like it, of course, but when it gets to the 9th game out of 12, that's what I don't like. Poor phrasing on my part )

I'm nervous to see if the defense plays to the same level this coming weekend.

I think he'd get hired somewhere else as a DC. I can't say the same for Peetz.

I'm good with it if the HBC has a strong defensive background, like Mel Tucker...

If it’s Tucker or Aranda then sure, if it’s an offensive coach then they probably need to bring in a more experienced hand

I would be ok with it because I think O has been handcuffing him all year, until the Bama game for some reason.

Nope, he isn't qualified to be the DC at this level and the results prove it.
