For context, we moved in recently to our first home (zone 7b/8a) and I am just getting interested in lawncare. Our backyard is a mess of weeds with a little grass mixed in. I am not even sure what type of grass we have, or what can be down to help the lawn. I am hoping to have majority grass next sp...
I voted 25x for Crews, but I'll be shocked if Ivan Melendez from Texas doesn't win the award this year. Batting .421 with 28 HR's and 85 RBI's is absolutely insane. Not to mention more walks than strikeouts....

D1 Baseball Updated Projections

Posted by rustontiger7 on 5/22/22 at 3:46 pm
I don’t agree with some of these projections, but wanted to put this out here for discussion. Currently has us going to Hattiesburg as a 2 seed, Clemson as the 3 seed, and Belmont the 4. https://d1baseball.com/columns/2022-field-of-64-projections-may-22/...

AP All-American Team

What an absolute joke to not have Damone Clark included on the 1st, 2nd, OR 3rd team. Dude straight up led the NCAA in tackles this year and should have won the Butkus award. https://apnews.com/article/college-football-sports-georgia-iowa-michigan-637f2ca768a02f56327375993a3c38e5 ...
What would be your opinion on the new head coach retaining Daronte Jones as DC? I think he has done a solid job considering the injuries and stagnant offense (see Auburn, Ole Miss, and Alabama games). But we still had pretty big defensive letdowns against UCLA, Florida, and Kentucky....

re: Pods and Schedules

Here's how LSU's schedule might look for a 6-year period, assuming the following divisions: SEC North Kentucky Vanderbilt Auburn Alabama SEC West Arkansas Missouri Texas Oklahoma SEC East Florida Georgia South Carolina Tennessee SEC South Texas A&...
Found this clip showing a homerun to center (421 ft). Apparently it is the 5th longest homerun in the CWS at TD Ameritrade and still barely cleared the fences. https://www.ncaa.com/video/baseball/2015-06-17/college-world-series-game-nine-peter-alonso-home-run...
I might be in the minority, but I don't blame Paul for this loss. At some point the players have to step up and take ownership, and it just didn't happen tonight. In the grand scheme of things, we control our own destiny, so this game won't make or break things....

Warren Nolan - Baseball Elo Rankings

Posted by rustontiger7 on 5/12/21 at 10:01 am
I've been tracking the ELO rankings posted by Warren Nolan throughout the year. In my opinion, it is the best way to rank teams without bias and a much better method than RPI. After last night's win against LA Tech, LSU has jumped to #12 in this ranking. https://www.warrennolan.com/baseball/2021...
Curious if anyone was heading up to the Ole Miss game on Saturday, April 24. I am wanting to drive over to watch the Tigers, and would like to buy a ticket, if available....
The tweet actually says Brian Baker. I bet it's referring to this guy, and the reporter got his bios mixed up. https://www.colts.com/team/coaches-roster/brian-baker...
I'm not going to argue Nick Saban cementing his status at the top, but Finebaum can get on with this "greatest team" crap. I don't want to keep living in the past, but any unbiased fan would admit 2019 LSU was significantly better all-around. Clemson and Alabama last year were good enough to win nat...
https://twitter.com/bigkat/status/1348408238698606596?s=21 One of the best interior D-Lineman in the nation. No clue if he would consider coming here, but that’s a game changing type of guy....
I agree with this argument, although I personally would like to give Coach O one more year (I think a Natty combined with 2020 allows him that chance). As we saw with last year's team, there is no harm in relying solely on your coaching staff to get the job done. However, you should be subsequent...
Serious question, but without the injury to Myles Brennan, would this year's offense be that bad? I thought the offense in games 1-3 was pretty solid (save for the run game). Obviously has fallen off since then, but would Joe Brady be able to save us from this situation?...
This has no impact on the current fan capacity in Tiger Stadium....
If you are interested in outdoors activities, Pinnacle Mountain State Park and Two Rivers Park/Two Rivers Bridge are great areas. A number of breweries and cool places to eat downtown, most of which are currently open. The Heights and Hillcrest areas have local restaurants and stores. There i...
It’s not as bad as people are saying. I’ve lived here (in Indigo Park) for 3 years now and haven’t had serious issues. I’ve heard of some car break-ins, but nothing I’ve experienced. Gardere is not a good area, but you really don’t experience it living on the Nicholson side. Also that low-income apa...
