Recruiting and offense would be good. Unless it's the Penn St hc then lane is the fastest fix to get LSU back on track.fickle ,aranda, tucker would cause a hit in recruiting and time to rebuild.

Woodward isn't hiring Kiffin. Time for some of y'all to come into reality.

Bad.
We got rid of O due to his cantankerous nature and wild streak. Kiffin has the same thing.
Kiffin makes me nervous- he’s turned bottom tier programs around, but he has also steered top tier programs into the dumpster (Tennessee, USC).
I’d rather have a coach who develops talent rather than relying on a goofy arse scheme and going for it on every 4th down. It’s entertaining, but not what I’d like to see for the Tigers.
Also, he is making 4.5 million at Ole Miss- all he has to do there is Win 8 games and meat MSU and he’s “successful” throw in the occasional 10 win season and he’s there for life and considered an all time Ole Miss great. The average tenure of an FBS coach is 3.8 years and the LSU job comes with a lot of pressure and expectation. Looking at the risk/reward, it doesn’t make sense for Kiffin to make the switch.

Would love to have him but don’t think he gets offered the job. Have a crazy feeling he winds up at Miami. Just don’t see him staying in little ole Oxford long.

What has Kiffin really done? Fired from USC and the Raiders but he worked for Nick Saban

Last 2 coaches were quirky. Lane is an good coach but not worth the drama that comes with him. Hope we dont touch him.

Surely we don't go from clown to caveman to cocky tool. At some point LSU football will have a regular human being at head coach.

Saban would be the only name I would be 100% comfortable with. Everyone else I would be nervous but in Scott I trust.

Note: I know Saban ain’t coming.

Lane would be a good 9-4 HC, with coed drama all around and garish turnover chains on the sidelines.

I would support as always, but not in my top 10 for HC. OC, you bet.

I feel like the coaches changing board should be open.

Like LSU will never slow any opposing team down again.

I would really like the lane Kiffin hire.

Unfortunately it doesn’t sound like it’s going to happen

I'd be ok with it if he was paired with a good DC like Odom.

This is just flat out false. He left Tennessee after 1 year and he went 7-6. You know pretty much the standard for them these days. At USC he was 8-5, 10-2, 7-6, 3-2 before being fired, never a losing season while dealing with all of the Reggie Bush sanctions that included the loss of 30 scholarships over 3 years.

He’s my top choice, warts and all. It’s past time for LSU to hire an offensive wiz. I’m just afraid he has a little too much baggage.
