You spread false information and see what comes out on the other side. Woodward isn’t an idiot. He’s made absolute slam dunk hires everywhere he’s been. Campbell is not a slam dunk, and I’d be very, very surprised if he’s our next coach. Damn sure wouldn’t be leaking two weeks out from the season being over when all we’ve heard about is potentially having to wait til the playoffs are over.

Jay Johnson was not the slam dunk at face value but look at what he's brought to the table already. If you miss on the slam dunks you have to look at the next best potential. On paper Campbell's track record for putting out solid teams with less.
Personally if you missed on Riley and Jimbo. You have to make Aranda the priority. Make him so no then move on. If that's where we are I think we're on the Campbell then Napier territory.

In what respect would he be a slam dunk? And don't tell me because he won coach of the year in the big 12, he won that with 2 5 loss seasons and 1 3 loss season.

This is true, and this board is absolutely hysterical. If Campbell’s name would’ve been listed with all those others over the past couple weeks, I’d say somewhere between 0% and 3% of people would’ve had Campbell in their top 3 options even if you exclude Riley and jimbo. But now people are falling all over themselves to say that Campbell actually IS a home run. When it turns out to not be him, everyone will be right back to knowing (correctly) that he wouldn’t have been a slam dunk.

You’ve been slamming Aranda, because you don’t believe he can develop a QB.
Fair. He hasn’t proven that (or disproven it)
But what has Campbell done?
Brock Purdy has regressed and was benched as a senior for a short time.
He’s got solid stats due to starting for 4 years, but he’s mediocre.
Reminds me of Kellen Mond’s tenure at A&M.

Some of us never thought that Jimbo or Riley were realistic options.

I'm sorry but I just don't believe all this smokescreen nonsense and smoking out leaks. Do you guys really believe Woodward is doing this? I can almost guarantee you every coach that has been mentioned in the press are/were contenders for the job and/or their agent floated it to the media to get them a raise. I don't believe Woodward is sitting there trying to throw out fake names and leak fake info to throw us off the scent. Most of these alleged leaks or smokescreens are coming from a place that Woodward can't control which is the other side of the bargaining table

I haven’t been slamming Aranda, I’ve been saying my concerns with Aranda.
Every coach has concerns. Campbells are similar to Arandas.

Woodward made a bad hire at Texas A&M when he hired Jimbo Fisher, so I will not relax until a big time guy is hired. I want a _ucking dynasty at LSU, not this crap up and down dynamic we've been suffering.
