How much power does Tate really have in this decision?

Serious question… he is the school’s president, but I was always under the understanding that since TAF was separate from the school, they made their own decisions.

That’s not to say I didn’t think the president has some say but does the buck really stop with him? Or can Woodward really hire whoever he wants as long as the BOS approves?

I ask this because it is upsetting that a program as big and successful as LSU could be a pawn in some political game.

He will have his say much like he did with the baseball hire but the head football coach will have to be approved by many people board president ad and boosters. Just too much money involved not to make the majority happy.

How much power do the boosters have?

If they have a lot of say in it, there's no way we get Tucker.

If he has any power in this decision we can kiss Woodward goodbye as I doubt seriously he will want to work under someone like this.

The melt over Tate because of unsourced rumors and speculation based on nothing more than him being Black is incredibly fun to witness.

The "President" serves at the pleasure of the BOS.

This will NOT be a political hire based on CRT.

ETA: I get all of my information from my dauther-in-law who is cousins to the son of the grounds-keeper at the Governor's camp.

I haven’t heard that but I can confirm she’s involved in the search along with AOC. It’s important to have a woman’s perspective.

One of the key criteria is the coach’s willingness to sit down with the leaders of BLM to make sure our players are being interacted with appropriately.

Don’t shoot the messenger.

Hopefully zero

The Athletic Department should dock $10 Million for every comment Tate makes regarding a candidate from the donation to the university

He can talk about his likes. He is NOT making decision. He is not AD.

You’ll see soon enough. Gotta be politically correct even over the best possible Coach period.

The LSU BOS and power brokers fired Alleva, handcuffed King, and brought in Woodward and gave him full control.

They're not about to turn around and let a sociology professor from South Carolina dictate terms to Woodward on the coaching search.
