Not bashing them, but how attractive can the HC in Knoxville be right now? Is it a top ten job Top 20 for sure. But you've got to be a little ballsy competing with UGA, UF, Bama for their in state kids because yours doesn't produce enough home grown talent.

It's probably the 3rd or 4th best job in the SEC which is pretty darn good.

3rd? no way. I'm thinking 5th best in the SEC, but AU and UT are pretty close.

UF
Bama
LSU
UGA

there is no argument about those 4

AU and UTenn fight for 5th

i'd put AU 5. they may not get the best bama talent consistently, but at least the state HAS talent

You really think that the UT job and the LSU job are on the same level? UGA is much better than UT IMO

My top ten head coaching gigs (in no particular order) are as follows;

Southern Cal
Texas
Ohio State
Oklahoma
Florida
Penn State
Alabama
LSU
Notre Dame
Michigan

Tennessee, UGA, Miami, Nebraska and Florida State round out my top 15

Tennessee is a destination job for sure.

UT gets docked points for its recruiting base. Otherwise, it is a good school with a huge stadium. I am not sure about the facilities but if they are not up to snuff they have the money to upgrade. They are ready to pour money in to win.

I'd put LSU 3 but I think there could be an argument for UT 3... but I'd have them at 4.

Tennesse has top ten tradition, top five facilities, top five stadium, not to mention the LARGEST recruiting budget in the country. Tennessee has never struggled at recruiting for that very reason.

Saying UT is way below the UGA/LSU job and might be lower than Auburn is asinine.

It is imo. They have a ridiculous amount of resources and spare no expense when it comes to football.

well you need it. seriously, I've never quite understood why UT does better in Atlanta than Auburn, given their respective proximities.
