Mullen will probably be fired and we will go head to head with Florida.

I feel like LSU is still the better job. Florida is a shell of its former self and Georgia is slowly becoming the best team in the conference

I think it's a wash as to which is a better job, LSU or UF. All the Florida schools are down and UF is almost finished with their football only facility. But Florida does have more football talent than Louisiana; a much bigger population.

Yeah it’s not. It didn’t get a single first place vote in that athletic article, and came in 10th versus lsu which is 5th.

Florida would be dumb to fire Mullen this year. If they wait until next year, they’ll be the best sec job open.

If I’m Florida I’m thinking this is a bad year to be last to be looking for a coach.

There are enough good coaches out there. Florida should fire Mullen.

And FL competes with Miami, FSU, and many other P5 schools who pilfer Florida not to mention the UCF, USF, FAU, FIU.

LSU, under the right coach, can lock down the borders and easily compete with anyone.

FL has the highest number of NFL players per capita?

Explain to me how per capita plays into this. The man said more not more per person.

Most notably UGA, LSU and Alabama. All three are in Florida so much they would be required to pay State income tax if Florida had one.

How much of that talent does Florida actually get though? They obviously get some of it, but it’s not like they’re locking down the best players year in and year out. That state gets absolutely raided by every other school in the southeast. They’re actually at a disadvantage in their own state because of it. They’ve been down for years because players see better opportunities elsewhere and then they get to compete with every other school in the state. LSU has a sizable advantage in that if a guy wants to stay in Louisiana and play he has one high level choice.

Florida doesn't concern me much. There are only 2 or 3 schools that would concern me, and they aren't looking for coaches right now.

Florida would be absolutely stupid to jump in the ring with both LSU and USC looking.
