People can say what they want about Germ but the son of a gun can call a defense and is one of the best position coaches in college football. Db's and inside linebacker. The guy can flat out coach.

Put my money on Caleb Ross or Pat Nix.
Jamey Dubose would be a home run be he was just named the new head coach at Biloxi HS.
I could see Pruitt taking it if offered. He's gotta get back in the game sometime, somewhere.

I went to rival Central in Tuscaloosa. The real powerhouse school before the court case split the school to 3 schools

Hi expectations and the guy wasn't meeting them.
He had to know that going in. I'm glad to see Hoover have the balls to make the change. My old high school settled (once a powerhouse with multiple state ships) settled for a coach with a losing record and he has a losing record now.
Except my schools don't have the balls to fire him.

I don't know if he's related to Mike or not but the guy is a hell of a football coach. He's won state everywhere he's been except for Orange Beach.

And he went from playoffs last year (8-3) to winning one game, one game!, this year (1-8), against an otherwise winless team. In his second year at Orange Beach. Yes, great pedigree and all, but looks like he is hitting up the coastal high school cruising towards retirement. He was offered an extension but bolted. Doesn't want to build anymore. Maybe he wouldn't have to build in Hoover but they had a losing record as well this year, right?
