Hire Raymond Immediately as DC.

He deserves the job. He's worked W with both Chavis and Aranda. He should have get his chance to be the main guy as the DC.

Reymond has had chances to go out and cut bud teeth as a DC for less pay and hasn’t. You want to gamble a critical hire on him just because he’s been here?

O is more than welcome to do that but if Raymond ends up being a failure, that could cost him his job. I wouldn't bet my career on him if I had to hire a DC right now

Sure. If he wants a chance to be a DC, he should absolutely be given his chance, but not at LSU. If he proves to be a solid DC, then we would welcome him home with open arms.

Yes let’s panic and make an emotional, knee jerk decision. 
Best bet if you’re O/Scott to take a deep breath, go home and chill out, and come back tomorrow and look at your big board again.
Maybe you do come back and decide Raymond is the best bet bet because of established trust with the players and you decide he’s ready to make that jump, but that decision should be made calmly and rationally.

Yeah, let’s swing & miss on the hottest up & coming DC & hire someone a position coach on staff that has never been a DC right away. GREAT idea

I agree. We sit here and talk shot about CR being DC when this dude has been nothing but loyal to his school over he years. We act like the Hot coordinator names are rushing to LSU, but in reality we have only got 3 of the HOT names over the recent years (Crowton, Canada, and Aranda) and only one of them left with a promotion.
CR has collected valuable information over the years and could be a good DC for a long time at LSU
