Well now that we're past ESD and in a dead period, we just need to make the hires by Jan 14, when the NSD dead period is up and we can get back meeting recruits face to face.

Sammy, your point is ok but all of those were not in the context of HC change.
Our program is fine. CBK is a good coach. We lost some leverage. It happens with a HC change and is exacerbated by ESD.
If we're repeating this next year, then that's a concern.

Everyone was expecting loses because of the coaching turmoil. If it’s still a concern this time next year, LSU as a football school will lose a lot of its shine.

Have some patience. Nick Saban had 6 weeks to recruit in 2007 before signing day and hauled in the 12th ranked class and 4th in the SEC. Brian Kelly had 2 weeks before ESD. If they can get some nice adds in February then this class can be similar nationally and in the conference. You think the 5 star WR from Catholic is going to Bama next year with the 3 best LA WR’s signing with them this year? No. LSU will get him. Having Walker Howard will attract top receivers to LSU. Don’t worry about the groupies that left this year. They were being told they could play next year at bama. That’s probably true if Metchie and Williams go pro. All they’ll have is Slade Bolden and Earle. LSU has Boutte, Jenkins, Lee, Bech, Nabers, Thomas Jr, & Hilton coming back.

The team Cam was coaching had just won the Super Bowl 10 days earlier. he was looking to stay on in the NFL. Stud was still the OC, so there wasnt even a vacancy until Cam gave up on his NFL dream
