As long as his players like Aranda and he spends time with recruits and their parents explaining why playing for Aranda is the best fit, I have no concerns with him closing the deal on key recruits. I have an exceptional amount of confidence in Aranda’s ability to evaluate talent that fits well with the other players and the system.

That D was not a liability whatsoever. Trevor Lawrence had 0 TD passes and Etienne had well under 100 yards rushing. What other defense would EVER do that? In all of defenses? Not sure even this year's UGA defense would do that.
OMG, they gave up points to Vandy in a game that was never in doubt and they were testing out things. OMG, they let one fast as hell Ole Miss QB run all over them in a game LSU still could have won by 4 possessions if they didn't kneel.

Is this something that was pulled out of thin air for people who don't want to hire Aranda looking for a negative? He seemed to do just fine when he was here bringing in some studs at linebacker and on defense in general. It's not like he didn't play a part in the recruitment of the defensive talent during his time as DC here. I don't remember there ever being a huge question about his recruiting while he was coaching at LSU. If there is something that I missed that says he's a bad recruiter, please point me in the direction of it so I can see what the hell we're talking about.
Even during the worst years of Miles, the recruiting didn't exactly suffer, so it's not like it's some huge challenge to recruit talent to LSU. You don't have to be the best recruiter on the planet to pull in top 5 classes here.
