Are these coaches that fickle and a bunch of adolescent bitches craving attention ? Hire a coach that actually wants to be here and is not just whoring for cash! Frustrating

Not necessarily. If these guys are seemingly this fickle that they change their mind by the hour depending on who shakes money at them that doesn't speak to any long term loyalty and commitment.

Another O-bot.

John L. Smith would probably love to be the head coach at LSU. Would you hire him?

You're upsetting your father, Kyrie.

There isn't a coach in the whole country or world for that matter that is so in love with a place that money won't sway him. Including Ed Orgeron. If he loved LSU so much he would have stayed and played ball there and tried to get a job there before 2015.

No, they're doing what any normal person would do and attempting to get the biggest pay check.

Not just pumping O. If a coach really wants to coach at a school they shouldn't try to break them. Need a good and fair deal- don't mortgage the farm for one guy.

This is what everyone says; however, with any college, this is a business and a coach can be as loyal to a place as anyone, but will the place just as loyal back? ie...Charlie Strong...Les Miles...etc..

If you think we're going to officially hire a coach that has games left before the end of the season you're an idiot.

TLDR : you're an idiot.

what adult wouldn't negotiate for more money?

would you not do the same at your own job?

would you not try to see what the absolute best offer is?

I'll do it for 200K a year and believe me I WANT to be here.

So why not hire me?

There are tons of Louisiana coaches who would love to take over the program, problem is they're not qualified.

This hire is not just for a football coach, but a football CEO who is over one of the most powerful programs in the nation. When this program tanks it affects the self-esteem of an entire state. Attendance drops, viewership drops, merchandising sales drop, businesses layoff employees and donations dry up.

That's not even considering managing the football part-coaching, recruiting, scouting, staffing and parenting more than a 100 student-athletes from 100 different backgrounds.

That's how important this hire is. It's more than who wants to be here, it's who is up to such a monumental task.

Jimbo is the best of both worlds. Wants to be here and is a great offensive mind.

Would you leave if Bama offered you $1 million a year?
