I am no expert by any means but it has been my impression that a 3-4 gives you many more options in personnel looks. This seems to be especially important to counteract the multitude of spread teams out there now. One example that I am alluding to is the obvious long yardage passing down package Aranda ran with two big linemen 4 LB and 5 DBs. In this package he usually rushed 4 but had many fast guys on the field to cover short, intermediate, and deep.

This concerns me. I feel like Leonhard has so much more upside and continuity with our current defense... who cares if he gets a bigger job, that just adds to our list to talent that moves up, which will improve our pool of candidates moving forward.
