And Texas wins again

You KNOW he watched the game. You KNOW he loved his friend's nasty defense.
With his offensive mind, we could be sick. I really want an offensively minded HC. He will know who to hire for OC.

Total Yards 303 -------- 406
Yeah, that is one hell of an offensive mind. For anyone to put up over 100 yards against SMU is off the charts. And he averaged 150 per half. Really amazing. I wonder who won that game?

Please Herman
He can actually scheme and you saw what he does with elite talent st OSU vs great defenses like Saban and Aranda

there aren't gonna be too many coaches to choose from if you are disqualifying them based on one bad game.

What if they also lose to a service academy and only beat a team that went 0-12 last year and is rebuilding under a new coach by a touchdown?
Is it fair to judge then?

How about four in a row? Four teams that have a lot less talent than his team. One (UCF) who didn't win a game last year and one (SMU) that won two games last year. He is definitely trending DOWN.
Navy L 46-40
Tulsa W 38-31
SMU L 38-16
UCF W 31-24

Dude I don't care what Houston does here out
They aren't that talented and he maximized their talent the best he could and they seem to have checked out at times with coaching rumors
It's understandable
His offensive genius track record goes beyond what Houston is doing. Look what he did with a 3rd string qb vs Aranda and Saban.. he's very balanced too
He will scheme rush all over Bama if needed and he develops qbs
He elevated a 3 star qb to almost heisman like with no talent around him
He would thrive with this talent and his knowledge
He is the Aranda of offenses

What about all the ranked teams he beat a season ago?
Also Houston is not nearly as good as people assumed as far as talent goes
Navy is actually pretty dang good at home and may be ranked again
He's still working with 3 star talent
He can still develop qbs and run the ball off scheme.. he'd have better defenses here
But he's shown he can beat big time teams with less talent
That's more important than losses to inferior teams with you have mid level talent
Saban had big wins and awful losses in his first gig
He's still a mastermind and exactly what we need
Come on people get over what Houston does
There's so many rumors and they are out of it

Notre Dame lost to Navy today.. ND has way more talent than Houston and still lost. Maybe we can accept the fact that playing a triple option team that executes at a high level is one of the hardest things in CFB to prepare for. GT seems to upset a team every year. You will never hear anyone say it's easy playing against a team that uses that scheme as well as they do.

That is a horrible mark against the coach if true. Good thing LSU's coaching situation has been solid this year.

I haven't heard the Houston QB in any heisman talk lately. Has he been doing good?

Against good teams maybe. But losing to teams with less talent would get his arse fired. Losing to Ms St, Kentucky, Vandy, etc won't last long in the SEC.
The dude has coached 1 1/2 years in a junior league and is running his team into the ground and you want him to be the head coach at LSU?

Okay, I'll give you Navy even though Notre Dame sucks the big one.
How about:
Tulsa W 38-31
SMU L 38-16
UCF W 31-24

I wasn't going to reply to all your bullshite in that post, but that is downright FUNNY. Thanks for the laugh.

UCF and Tulsa are pretty decent teams and it's not like his offense struggled in those 2 games

The love for Herman and Jimbo is just irrational.
Herman has been a head coach for less than two years. His talent is certainly equal to Navy, SMU and Tulsa, but they drag Houston around. He did a nice job as OC at Ohio State, but Urban was the head. If we want to hire Herman based on that, let's look at the OC at Utah, Texas A&M and Oklahoma when they beat Bama. Houston isn't focused now? Isn't that his job?
Jimbo loses 3-4 games a year unless he has a Heisman winner at quarterback, and that's with great recruiting classes and playing in the ACC.
Maybe people just keep hearing Herman and Jimbo, so they jump on the bandwagon. Neither has shown anything to make themselves a must hire.

Looking like Strong is safe a 7-5. Just two more wins.
