Hapless Houston team? Really? That Houston program catapulted briles and sumlin to HC jobs

That shows how bad Herman has driven the Houston program into the ground.
really?
Wasn't the last coach like 21-17? Including a bowl win with Sumlin's team?
Herman is 20-3.
Seems like the program is way better off than it was when he got there.
But hey math is hard

They're 7-2.
Your judgement is clearly clouded for some reason.

Tiger Ree-Now put up Hermans stats against Bob Stoops and Oklahoma. Everybody is quick to downgrade his losses to SMU and Navy, lets evaluate his Wins over Jimbo and Stoops while we are at it. Thanks, I'll hang up and listen.

With one decent win and two very shitty losses. Lamar, Cincinnati, TX St, UCONN, Tulsa and UCF are his wins besides OU. With the 51st most talented team in the country that is not overly impressive.

Yeah, that is one hell of an offensive mind. For anyone to put up over 100 yards against SMU is off the charts. And he averaged 150 per half. Really amazing. I wonder who won that game?
Yea Yea, and remember that time Saban lost to UAB. Man, you want that kind of defense... ignant

Yeah, those two wins were great. He also has lost to UCONN, Navy and SMU. Two of those losses have been in his last four games.
Herman was 18 and 1 before these last 4 games. He had Houston in the playoff conversation, after finishing last season ranked 8th in the country following a decisive victory over Jimbo and FSU.
Then something happens. LSU fires Les Miles and Herman is widely reported to be the top candidate. They even did GameDay segments on it. His team is distracted and they drop a game eliminating any chance for them to make the playoffs. They are despondent and rumors start to swirl that now Texas wants Herman also. They are having a hard time getting up for games. "Isn't that his job" you ask, sure but, come on man. Do you honestly think they lose those games if LSU and Texas rumors didn't start swirling? I don't. If you do then that's your prerogative, but I think you will find your opinion is in the minority. And I think the fact that you completely ignore any of the extenuating circumstances in your analysis is unfair.
I've been following Herman and Houston since last year when he was my #1 prospect. I have watched most of their games, read every article I could find on the man, watched several interviews and press conferences. I haven't seen or read anything that has changed my opinion, only revalidated it.
The losses for me are a good thing. It just means we can start the process earlier once the season is over.
I am happy to look at other candidates though. Who are you proposing?
