I am not an Alleva supporter but I would have hated him to come to lsu and see him bolt for Texas.

If he had come and gone 10-2 or 11-1 Texas would have hired him away from us and that would really have looked bad

That would be great if I thought Orgeron being here long term was better

And somehow that justifies the imminent misery that will be O.

Chad, knock some sense into these fools. Do they really think someone would leave LSU for another college after one year? How insecure is that?

Lsu just lost an urban Meyer clone.

Orgeron supporters are doing their best to justify this abominable hire.

It's kind of like saying "why frick Megan Fox for a year, if you know she's going to leave you eventually?"

I'd hate to have a coach that other teams wanted. That sounds awful.

Do you think Herman will be allowed to coach your bowl game?

Do u trust Alleva? I don't. Texas would have got into a bidding war and joe would have tapped out

we can bitch at Alleva for not having more than 3 serious candidates (if that is true) but not for passing on Herman. if I was interviewing a candidate and he said he had to wait and see what another company was going to do I would most definitely pass on the guy.

we need, like all schools, a coach that wants to come here. how the frick can a guy even recruit if his heart is somewhere else?

Meyer gave him full credit for their offensive success in 2014. Coaching circles say he is a genius. You Pro O cum lickers are something else

Wow lol. That's pretty gross. Actually O wasn't my choice, but that's irrelevant. Herman is a tremendous offensive football coach, no doubt. Losing games to Uconn, Navy, SMU, and Memphis in a two year span doesn't give me the confidence to put him in that category yet. Maybe I'm wrong, but there's more than enough to suggest maybe he's not the sure thing he appeared to be a year or so ago

Misery? College football affection that much bruh? How bout you get a frickin' life. Take a step back, get a hobby like knitting or coin collecting....life is too short for you to let something you have absolutely zero control over affect your life like that.

If Texas wanted him after two years, that means he was successful at LSU. Wouldn't that be a good thing?

O would've been available in two years. Or three. Or four. Or five. Or six. Or seven.
