My hope is that LSU will be emboldened enough to roll the dice on Napier because greatness is often achieved by welcoming unforseen risks with open arms.
Sometimes you have to gamble to reach your true potential, and I believe the union of Napier with LSU is prime breeding grounds for that harvest.
First, dude how high are you right now?
Second, Napier sucks

Was it the DC search, either for Pelini or Jones, that it was rumored that different people were being told different things so they could know who the leak was
It was the baseball coach search. Remember Bianco was gonna be announced like 10 times.
Likely the same is going to happen with this search.

I’ll believe you but only if LSUDAD (If he’s still around) chimes in to confirm thru his sauces

This more than anything. That's the real no-brainer. Generally speaking, some of the very best coaches are going to be in the playoffs. Not going after a great guy because he won't be formally available until after even the NC game reminds me of Yogi Berra's, "Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded."

The dude is pretty ingrained to OU, I’m just not even going to bother pretending he’s a remote possibility.
I'd be shocked if he can somehow pull lincoln riley. He has been building that team for a while and is recruiting at an elite level.

Wait so your Uncle, not only knows Woodward’s list of coaches but also knows how he thinks and how he feels about every prospect.
Because I absolutely believe that Woodward would discuss his job search and feelings to a leaky faucet such as your Uncle. It seems like something a man of his responsibility would do.
Also, I like how you identify him as Scott. As if you are on a first name basis to give this bullshite credibility. Nice touch.
If it’s not one of these 4 would you consider a permanent ban bet?

Cronkytonk- "Getting the best coach is more important than locking down recruits for one class in December"

I get the baggage with Kiffin, but why do so few discuss Franklin's Title IX issue looming? It does not appear to be as stark as the one LSU just weathered, but it should be enough to take the bloom off the rose a bit. Now, USC doesn't seem to care and their Top 2 appear to be Fickell and Franklin (not necessarily in that order, either), but LSU should probably be "Shields up!" for a known Title IX issue.

I work with a guy who went to LSU for a couple of semesters. He has a neighbor who says it is none of the 4 guys listed in the OP. He believes that list is all smoke and mirrors, but he’s not sure who it’s going to be. Mark my words.

Should be Saban. I think that would work.

How can everybody turn down the greatest coaching opportunity in the world?

Only one of those we have a realistic shot at is Napier. Sorry but that’s the truth.

Napier won 27 of last 31 games including last night. Only teams with a better record during the same time ... OU, Ohio St and Bama.

Plane has recently been to Georgia (kirby smart) and Dallas Fort worth (sonny dykes-smu)?(Patrerson-tcu?) (kellen Moore-Dallas Cowboys OC?)
Scott Woodward hires are usually rarely talked about beforehand. Are these guys rarely brought up in convo?

Sorry but if Lincoln Riley agrees to be your head coach but says to keep it quiet until he is done with the playoff, you don't panic hire someone else because he is available three weeks earlier.
My guess is Riley hasn’t committed then. Let’s say OU wins it all. He probably doesn’t leave, and LSU waited around on him just be left with their dick in their hand and a dwindling recruiting class.

I don't know if Napier is the right guy but he does have a lot more head coaching expirience.
