You acted like Fisher had problems paying assistants at FSU , I wouldn't call being ranked 7th out of 128 teams in the nation a problem

It's a problem when his assistants are making lateral moves for more money.

He didn't leave for higher pay. LSU said they would beat any offer. Apples to oranges comparison.

Petrino is a great coach but I don't think he leaves Louisville again

1. Jimbo
2. Herman
3. O

If we can't get Jimbo or Herman we should keep O and keep the current staff, and get a good OC. That's assuming O continues to improve our offense and if he does well and doesn't lose more than 2 games.

the only 3 names on the list inside that room
Herman

Coach O

I hate it, but it's probably more like-
1)Fisher
2)Coach O
3)Herman

I honestly think that the administration is that stupid.

I say good for him. Don't give a shot.

We need a winning coach, not a saint.

Eta - or I could use the coach O argument and just say he's learned from his mistakes and is doing better now. That seems to work well around here.

Coach O

Order doesnt matter at this point.

Jimbo is the only one who could retain O and Craig.

I wish he was out the door with Miles n Co, but he has improved our kickoff coverage. Vastly improved IMO.

you got to add Fedora in there also. No way Petrino on the list. Like someone said, you don't fire a man like Miles to hire a Petrino.

You know this for sure? How exactly? It's funny your list doesn't have Orgeron. I'm pretty sure he will at least be considered.

I can totally understand a Herman, Jimbo, Petrino, or even retaining O (if he does well)...but if we hire Larry effing Fedora over PJ FLECK i'm going to cry.

Chip Kelly isn’t going to be interested in the LSU job.

Jimbo Fisher is a very proven coach and has a national championship under his belt, which makes him very attractive.

Tom Herman is unproven at this point.

PJ Fleck is also unproven at this point.

Bobby Petrino told Louisville that if he were rehired, he would never leave again.

Thus, if coach O wins the next five remaining games, the job should automatically be his.

If he goes 4 and 1 or 3 and 2 (only if the two losses are very close), then Jimbo should be offered, and I would certainly expect that we offer Jimbo more money than we would offer coach O.

If Jimbo turns it down, then maybe Herman should be offered, but he should be offered no more money than coach O, since like coach O he also is unproven. If he turns it down, then the job is coach O’s.
