Meaning.. Orgeron is attempting or attempted to get Briles. Hes trying!
This is good. However, the program is doing its best to stay away from coaches that have a dark cloud around them.
I was told that Ensminger legitimately does not want to take the OC position, unless of course LSU was willing to raise his pay significantly, and the reaction of the fans would not ever let LSU hear the end of that. Safe to say that it wont happen.
In fact, id bet some money on Ensminger not happening. The chatter about Canada staying on staff is all but dead.
In other news! Aranda will be staying at LSU for 2018. This is another thing my family is 100% confident in. His family is in love with Baton Rouge. Jimbo came for him twice.
The first offer was to gauge his interest, and when Aranda flirted a little, he fired back with a decent offer, but not enough to pull him from the players and system he has set. His freedom on defense and pay was too much for A&M to pull him. Hes ours, at least for 2018. So props to Coach O for that. Although they believe that Jimbo could make another run at him with an even better offer.. Time will tell.
Back to offense, ive heard the Georgia OC thrown in there as the "long shot" if you will. Im not thrilled about him being considered but I dont think he would leave UGA..Interesting, but the chances are extremely low.
Thats all I got. As usual, take the info however you want to. Geaux Tigers
Edit: Nearly time to eat crow for the doubters

Why can other programs hire coaches with a past and give them a second chance but we can’t?

LSU using a double standard. First they gave Ed O a second chance - just look at why he was fired from Miami. Then they allow him to hire Pomansky- a felon.

Bc Alleva wants his coaches scandal free just like him, oh wait maybe he has amnesia about Duke Lacrosse.

If the admin gets in the way of a Briles hire I hope everyone starts pulling their money. There’s no reason to invest in LSU football until F King and co. are all serious about winning.

Back to back? He had to have been using pills or something. Weird sales pitch, but I guess if Jimbo does it then it works on most.

This is for O.C. Not head coach. How much bad publicity can you get for hiring a coordinator position?
Ohio state didn’t blink with G.S. Alabama didn’t blink with L.K. or sark. It’s just stupid.
You are paid to win football games. Go get the best coaches who can do it. This isn’t a monastery.

This is exactly what many of us suspect. Several names will be floated to give the appearance that a legitimate commitment to winning is evident regardless of the cost only to eventually settle on the cheapest option

No "dark cloud" should prevent the hiring of the younger Briles. Period. A dark cloud hangs over our whole damn program, and a hire like KB would greatly help in removing that cloud. I don't buy any "hurdles" being too much to overcome.

Lol this Administration is about to feel our pain. Because a bad OC hire I am done. I will not spend another dime at LSU until they get serious about winning again. It's time we make a stand if they don't hire the best OC out there.

Ive said in every single thread that I do not have a single contact on the administration.
They havent been wrong yet.
And if there was an article written about Aranda staying on staff for sure, please link it.. Because I would love true confirmation.
Im just a fan like you guys.

Anyone who thinks LSU is just gonna hire Briles Jr without blinking a eye does not know LSU.
No sources, just know the way the institution and the state government itself work.
Highly doubtful they could get a full sign off on him. Especially in this current "social justice/me too" era. I just don't see it happening

Tell somebody who gives half a shite.
They told me canada was out weeks before the news and articles so i brought it here and it was generally well received. So everytime I get a chance to talk with them, i bring whatever they say here for whoever is willing to read.
Theyve hit the nail right on the head with everything. Hell, after the Wisconsin game they told me LSU was moving to fire miles and I dismissed it.
Sorry you are triggered by an anonymous person on a message board.

Pretty sure our government DGAF about integrity or anything like that.. why should LSU’s OC be held to a higher standard than the politicians in this shithole state
