Tate is truly a godsend. Thank god we have an intelligent man of integrity leading our administration now.

What did he have to do with the hire other than a formality rubber stamp? You’d prob like a banner of him in football ops?

He forced a minority coach on Woodward just like a number of idiots here were saying.

Tate: Hey Scott, I'm looking at a possible Tucker or Franklin hire here.

Woodward: What if I told you I could get Kelly?

Tate: Well, Chip did well against us, but I think we should really give those guys an extra hard look.

Woodward: No, Brian Kelly. From Notre Dame?

Woodward: Hello, you still there?

Woodward: Hey, can you get the President back on the line for me.

Stephanie: It shows that hes still on.

Woodward: Hey, is everything OK on your end?

Tate: ARE YOU FRICKING SHITTING ME?

Woodward: No sir. Hes onboard.

Tate: A coach hasnt left Notre Dame in over a hundred years! Forget I called. Do your thing.

Woodward: Stephanie, call TBL and VolTiger and say Riley is a done deal!

The day it was announced O was not coming back, so many on this board were crying about how Tate would force the Tucker hire.

He didn't and on top of that, he made comments about how he would not have formed a committee to change building names on campus. How he felt it was important he learned about each and every name. And our energy was best spent focusing on the future students as opposed to old names that 99% of people walking by don't know its history.

Sounds like people need to chill before judging how someone will act or what decisions they would make

He actually is doing a very good job and the group of faculty who are most pissed at him are the elite white Liberal types who thought they could because they proclaim they are enlightened white liberals, the new President (who is Black) should listen to them.

Go talk to somebody you know who works on the academic side at LSU. There was a large cohort of LSU faculty, the ones who you see active in social media, etc, and some who are not, who were pissed off at Tate for mandating LSU come back to campus in the Fall and work normally.

There have been contentious meetings at LSU during the summer and a friend of mine who I know from Church who works out there has told me that the Faculty Senate Board/Group or whatever it is called has had numerous meetings this fall complaining about the Covid policies Tate prescribed.

He in essence told them to kick rocks. I think I read that LSU has an 85% vaccination rate and those who do not want to be vaccinated can show antibodies (they have had COVID) in last set amount of days or get regularly tested. LSU has from what I heard like 10 or 20 active cases across the campus, and with faculty, staff, students, etc, you are talking about 40K people.

He has proven to be according to my friend who works out there a very capable and fair leader.
