Lane is a players coach. It’s happened a couple times in history. Again would be shocked but highly doubt it

He said he would want to coach it. I don't know if that means he would or not. I suspect he would not, though I expect he would participate in the practices to get a feel for returning players if he is on staff at that point.
ETA: not saying Kiffin is 100% but saying if he comes. I think he is but I trust almost no one right now
