On his podcast today

Also notes that he’s heard that Riley is a long shot and he’s content at OU, same for Fisher, and that Cavs owner Dan Gilbert is bankrolling Tucker at MSU.

I’m not sure how everybody would feel about that but I’d be really happy with Campbell, he seems like a Jay Johnson type hire that could end up being extremely good in the long run

I’d rather have Napier than Campbell. He’s peaked and should’ve taken the money the Lions offered him last year.

ETA: and Aranda too obviously

Campbell wants the Penn State Job. That’s his desire. LSU and Campbell haven’t had much talks if any at all. So there’s that.

Campbell trying to recruit down here would be a total disaster imo

Matt is a great guy but we need someone who is a little more tough and been through the wringer. Someone who can fit a little more culturally.

Napier needs to prove himself at a P5 school. Campbell has taken a perennial doormat in the Big 12 and made them relevant.

Based on what?

He checks the whole young, upcoming coach box that people covet with Aranda and Napier. He's turned two programs around. He's actually younger than both of them. Some of you just want *your* guy.

I don't think camphell would take the job but how can you say he has peaked? He is at iowa state.

If you are the head football coach at Iowa State.....you have been through the wringer.
