Neither Saban nor Miles had ever coached near here. Dinardo was a Midwest guy and he immediately got the ball rolling in the right direction, and don’t tell me a couple of years at Vanderbilt suddenly made him an expert of coaching in Louisiana.

You know who “understood Louisiana”? Curley Hallman.

So many names suddenly being thrown out says to me that we are trying to give someone cover. The dam breaking doesn’t make sense.

That said, Campbell would be a great hire.

Toledo and Iowa State are wayyyy different then down here. People down here don't understand how different of a place Louisiana is.

Dude...Louisiana isn't that different, we just like to think it is.

Woodward is not telling anyone anything he doesn’t want out of the bag… You never show your cards.

Good. I like Campbell a lot and thought it was crazy he wasn't getting more run in here.

$4mm buyout.

Oh man, he checks the "we have to save money" box that so many fans are on.

Turned two programs around, he's 41, hell I'm on board. He's Napier but already proven at the P5 level.

He negotiated his buyout from $9mm+ down to 4 in his recent extension

Seems he’s ready. I think this is happening.

So we need “one of us”?

We had that, and it didn’t work out.

This is definitely a Jay Johnson type hire. Like it though. Only downside would be,if he's successful I think he's gone for a NFL gig after a handful of seasons. He's on the Bears and Browns radar right now.
