This. We know they’ll pay, we know they’ll have talent…

But the negatives are their rival is a yearly state contender and it’s hard to get people to move to south LA with the insurance issues

I know someone very close to the team. Luquet truly does care about the players - there's no question about that. He brought in some seniors after the season ended and asked for feedback about what could be done better, so he was looking to improve. Just the day before he resigned, the word was that he was going to replace the OC and DC. Then the news broke that he resigned. I've heard that school admins gave him the chance to resign on his own.

Whoever Hahnville hires, they need to be someone with a proven track record. They program gets plenty of support from the school system, school administration and fans....but they need to get back to winning.

That's pretty much what I have heard but, I've also heard his wings were clipped a little from day one compared to his predecessor and the LHSAA battle over a former QB left the admin a little gun shy on some things. note kids from west side go east but do any from east go west?

I mean the kids from west st charles at JC, Rummel(logan diggs) and Now that Hank is back - that's a tough trifecta not to mention public school pilfering. They do have the socio demographics and support to be really good - their history points that out clearly.

The talent is there on the WB of St Charles Parish for HHS to compete for a state championship nearly every year.
It dawned on me today that 4 of the last 5 head coaches Hahnville had led them to state title games. Luquet being the only one who did not.

Any update? I'm shocked a job of this magnitude hasn't been filled in 6 weeks!

They hired the offensive coordinator from Destrehan. He's a Hahnville graduate.

No way he was the most qualified candidate for this job. I find it hard to believe there weren’t proven head coaches at applied. Seems like they went the “hometown” kid route again. Hopefully it works out this time.

Luquet, Salt, Valdin, Hildebrandt and Barbier were not "hometown"

Luquet from St. Charles Parish.
I’d say that’s pretty “hometown”.
