I must have missed that one. I do not read his stuff, only when it is posted here.

He made a similar statement regarding the hiring of Brick Haley. After Haley was hired, Guilbeau wrote in a very slight style that Haley was on his way out of a job with the Bears when Miles picked him up.

If Guilbeau uses the term "fishy" I would expect him to offer something that would at least provide some insight in to why he would think that way. From everything I have heard, read, and seen, Gonzo is a good coach with a good track record and the Gators hate to see him leave. They don't seem to share the same feelings and thoughts regarding Adazzio. I think this may simply boil down to Guilbeau just being a really big Tolbert fan and now he is a bit whiny over Gonzo being here instead of Tolbert.

Read that it had to do with the NFL retirement plan being "too good" ... and maybe Gonzales wants to be where players don't get arrested? I don't know ... everyone has to decide what's best for him/her ... guess Guilbeau's just trying to stir the pot maybe?

This guy has figured out that if he constantly criticizes LSU and/or Miles, people will read his articles. Someone on this board will read it, be outraged, and link to it. Then other people will read it and comment on what douche he is. The Miles haters will link to it, and say "see, Miles does suck." And the cycle continues. It is less sexy to make rational observations (i.e., Les has made some good hires, the clock management at Ole Miss was awful, we are recruiting well, etc.). Why say those things when you can say (1) the hires are suspicious, (2) the Ole Miss game demonstrates that Miles should be fired, and (3) we lost out on Trovon Reed.

I don't think mediocre sports writers (or journalists in general) get very far unless they say outrageous things. Guilbeau is mediocre.

MemphisJerk, you, like Guilbeau, jump at the chance to blast coach Miles. Miles is not in over his head. you must not have any experience in the business world. sometimes things get tough; the winners are the ones that make the necessary changes, work through their problems and come out ahead. Miles is our man to do that. sorry he's a lousy public speaker. he's actualy a very good communicator one on one. i've known dozens of people like this in my life. i'll take the guys good at one-on-one communication over the polished public speakers any day. to demand his head because he's not top 5 and challenge for the NC every year is ludicrous. saban will not do that (he did not do it here or elsewhere) and neither will meyer. in fact, meyer is about ready to learn what spoiled fans are like. he shoulda gone to ND. you constantly critisize and belittle miles. lots of name callin'. in my view and i'll bet many others, you are living up to your name.

Was it as "fishy" as Willis (former AU player) leaving AU as LB's coach to go to Bama?

Wonder would it have been fishy had Saban hired him at Bama?

If the King of the DB Kingdom doesn't like the hire, I immediately like it that much more!

This is what i have come to believe about glenn. Saban wore a camel skin jacket, so glenn goes out and buy one. No problem with that, but he is def on saban side.
