There's apparently also a lot of boosters and former players wanting Fisher. So hopefully their message continues to be heard.

I'm sure there are.

The problem is, most are willing to talk about Orgeron publicly because he wants the job and won't turn it down. It's much harder to talk about what if scenarios when a coach is currently at a P5 school.

Also, I guarantee you all those boosters and alumni would be just as happy with Jimbo.

If you have the opportunity to hire someone like Jimbo Fisher, you do not pass on it.

I hope not too.

I also hope that Alleva makes this decision on his own without listening to the radio or anyone's opinion. Whether he chooses O or Jimbo or whomever, I just want it to be his choice and not public pressure.

How may of the cream of the top boosters actually want the Jimbo deal done? What percentage vs the O supporters you say by guessing?

No clue. It was just in an article I saw the other day. I have no idea how many. I'm sure they're 50/50 like all of the other splits going on. I'm sure O being much cheaper is appealing as well.

It is.

And it's not hard to see that all of this O stuff is being implemented for either financial reasons or emotional reasons.

I would hope that LSU is not making decisions to be cheap. And I would hope they are not making decisions on emotion.

Best damn article I've read in weeks. This particularly blew me away;

"And Fisher today is a much better candidate than Spurrier then and even Nick Saban when LSU hired him from Michigan State in 1999"

How can people continually say this isn't a home run hire?

What's that tell you? PF obviously loves Bama and Saban, and he's shown angst towards Alleva and LSU for months. He wants us to suffer.

Guilbeau gets itI find it alarming that we have boosters who are pumping O over Herman and Jimbo

So the problem is you don't donate enough or you don't agree with those that do? Either way you're SOL

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic, but I'll link the article.

A number of boosters, former players and other stake-holders are very enamored with Fisher and bringing him in, and they are talking. A lot. In my opinion, that is in hopes of creating pressure on Alleva

No it's all the ppl in Baton Rouge screaming for O.. Paul was against it said Lsu was too good of a job for anyone but. Top end coach but since coming to BR and seeing all the optimism blah blah blah he's changed his mind. These ppl need to stfu. If we hire O over a national championship winning OC and HC who is probably one of the first ones mentioned when ppl ask who's the best HC after Saban & Meyer I will lose my shite.. Lsu will become a huge laughing stock in the sec and the nation

At this stage, I would hope that Aleva has his mind made up and might even have an verbal in place. If that is the case, it might not bode well for O. If it was O, he might would have already announced it.
