No it's all the ppl in Baton Rouge screaming for O..

Its the local radio guys who got close to Orgeron and they consider him their "boy" and people like Ruffino who are also "boys" with Orgeron. A few sheeple listen to them and parrot it on these boards.

then there are the "he's a local guy", "he's like us", "he bleeds purple and gold" morons.

I've not heard from one person that I know (and respect" that wants O over guys like fisher and herman.

I like O but damn guys. He is not the top candidate or even the best fit for gods sake.

Good article. This situation reminds me of WVA retaining Bill Stewart when he was interim HC. WVA let emotions guide them instead of looking elsewhere for a coach. Will Alleva etc do the same? Won't be long now.

Its even more irrational here.

the similarities are uncanny though...guy is born in the same state but didnt go to the university. Die hard fan of the school (supposedly). Pressure from team and boosters and he gets hired to a job beyond his resume.

I don't think O should get the job, but O will get the job. It's a slam dunk easy hire for an incompetent AD. The fans get their no-nonsense cajun guy, and Joe and squad get to be thrifty. If they need to defend their decision, they can just blame it on financial woes.

Unfortunately, 'tis the nature of the beast. The fans are too emotional and the admin are too lazy.

Fisher or Herman will be the guy to lead this LSU team.
Just about all of my Friends (LSU Alums, GBFTL Alums, TAF's, Season Ticket Holders, Die-Hards) want this line-up:

* Herman-HC
* Orgeron-AHC/DL/RC
* Aranda-DC
* Applewhite-OC/QB's
* Raymond-DB's
* Juluke-RB's
* OL,TE,LB and ST's to be named by Herman.

We feel this line-Up gives LSU the best opportunity to "Evolve" into a modern football team and catch up with the Crimson Devils.
