Can Cameron was a good hire at the time for the 2013 season.

The problem was the rest of his tenure. Cam was good at polishing experienced players with NFL talent, but awful at putting a competent offense on the field once that talent left.

Cam Cameron was a great hire, Les just held him back. Any halfway knowledgeable person can look at Cam’s resume and see how good he was.

Either this is the greatest sarcasm in the world, or you have a Cameron resume no one else has ever seen.

I’d take Monken at LSU

Looking through some old staffs, and Les had some pretty good ones. I wonder what life would have been like if Monken had been OC in 2007 and not Crowton.

I'd love for Kansas to become a finishing school for LSU boys.

If Kliff Kingsbury is really out at TT, surprise the hell out of everyone, get Kliff as OC, and run the air raid.

Some people mentioning Monken...

Isn’t he OC at Tampa Bay? Why would he go to Kansas? Is TB not doing well?

Mallory was hired by Les 3x...as DB coach at OK St, as DB coach at LSU, and as DC at LSU when he created Malveto.

Mallory went to pure shite after 2007 and left a trail of failure through many schools. He’s DB coach with the Falcons now. I could see Les hiring him as DC.

“Cam’s offense” was severely hindered by Les. That said I’m glad LSU moved on. Jennings and Harris both regressed under him.

Will Peveto be his DC?
is his barbecue sauce any less orgasmic than it was a few years ago? He will be on that staff, doing something or other.

Cameron is really the only huge blemish.

I have a difficult time attacking OC's under Les over the last 8 years considering every offense was almost exactly the same with similar play calling and tendencies, which go back to the HC

People shite on Cam and Crowton but when both were hired they were raved about on this board and through the National Media. Both in their first years set records at LSU as well.

Plus Les always hired a great DC to run the defense. Hell the only year he didn't was the Co-DC year but he corrected it the very next year.

A LOT of people were saying to be wary of Crowton post year 1. He has a history of falling off the cliff after his first year, and that played out.

Cameron flopping was more surprising.

More of that seemed to pop up year two when the offense started showing the decline, I don't remember how many countless threads were started about that. However, national media and the board praised it because they thought it would open up the offense. It did for a season but that was it really.

Cameron was suppose to bring in a pro-style offense but he was just fired from an NFL team. Really we should have seen the signs but I think everyone was just excited a NFL-OC was coming to LSU no matter how much he had failed.
