Anyway, he said that Les has reached out to Josh Henson for the role of OC and RC.

He has Big 12 experience. Although it was with Missouri who was running their Big 12 offense in the SEC under Gary Pinkel. Why not. Remember this is Kansas.

Will Hall is an excellent offensive mind. If Les let's him do his thing, he could do some damage with Pooka. He has a creative offense that is still heavily run based.

He should hire Larry Porter, Jabbar Juluke, Doug Mallory, Ron Cooper, and Adam Henry. Bring all the boys back together.

I faxed my bbq sauce recipe over this morning.

I'm in the running for assistant pork loin master, I mean asst dl coach.

Studs gonna handle the brisket and chopped, Bradley Dales for the butt and sides.

Heard Ron Cooper might be down for charcoal pitmaster, I mean DB coach.

Getting that grill going in the heartland! I mean program, getting that program going in the heartland!

Mmmm hmmmm that's some good eatin

No way he gets Pelini. And that is a pretty good staff, especially in terms of recruiting (I guess except for Cooper). Les should hire some LSU boys like Chevis. Make it a finishing school for coaches with LSU ties.

a lot of people were sad when ron cooper left for the nfl. seems like he has come back down to earth since he no longer coaches PP7 and TM.

He will probably put together a very solid staff. For the most part outside one assistant or two, he has always had very good assistants as a HC

i'm going to have to question this statement. remember brick haley, the malveto duo, cam Cameron and after a few years john Chavis? there were other marginal guys.

I think Miles downfall was his asst coaches PLUS his stubbornness with controlling the offense.

Brick Haley wasn’t awful. His rep has gone to shite among LSU fans lately but he’s a quality coach. Mallory and Peveto were fine position coaches and Les quickly fixed that experiment.

Cameron is really the only huge blemish.

When Les hired assistants, they were usually considered good hires by most people at the time. Most thought Cam Cameron, Chavis, Aranda, Pelini, and even Crowton for the most part were good hires at the time.

Les’ biggest issue was when promoting people from within such as the Malveto experiment and Stud as OC, etc.

To his credit, he fixed the defense immediately after 2008 and the Stud thing was just a bad circumstance with Kragthorpe having to step down as OC in August. Miles should have replaced Stud after 2011, but it's probably pretty hard to justify changing a coordinator after a 13-1 season.
