Saban to Texas was a huge deal on this LSU Coaching Changes Board. Why is that?

Notre Dame is top 10 but not top 5. They no longer are a brand that can recruit by name. That is a job that takes a lot of dedication.

It definitely has the potential to be the best job.

Random AF but where else are you going to get Seafood Gumbo and Crawfish Étouffée from? Louisiana got the best food and food= happiness.

most other schools when you fire a coach, you start from scratch. USC, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, even Texas. They all started fresh or had to start fresh.
Not really. LSU is in the exact same situation. That being said LSU is probably a top 6-7 job.

He's an idiot. Unless of course, he meant the best job currently AVAILABLE. Well, because it's the only one available.

top 5 for sure.

Anyone that would say that is a homer

USC
Texas
Alabama
Michigan
Notre Dame
Ohio State

All better jobs than LSU

Could make a case for Florida, Georgia, FSU and several others if we wanted to.

I don't know about top five, I think that's debatable.

I'd say only Florida, Texas, and USC are definitively better jobs though. They are on equal recruiting and institutional support footing with UGA, tOSU kind of jobs. They have a recruiting advantage over ND, Michigan, Alabamas. Alabama has obviously been transformed by Saban over the last decade but LSU held as close as anyone in the conference with an inferior coach. Were Saban to have returned to LSU instead gone to Alabama they would have been at least as dominant most likely (esp because it is hard to see who would have been the good "LSU" type #2 to compete at close to the same level.

which part do you disagree with? Saban transforming Alabama? Or do you have another program in the SEC that has been your #2 over the last decade? I could see the Florida argument maybe, but their down years would seem like enough to give LSU the edge.
