This is Taggart’s camp letting schools know that he would be willing to leave Oregon for another job. Some ADs assume a coach wouldn’t jump ship after only a year on the job. Taggart wants people to know that he would for a premier job.

Kelly is not going back to the Ducks. He burned wayy too many bridges & his departure was very very mutual, the administration wanted him gone, too.

It's his first year and he's currently 2-5 in the Pac 12. Yeah, he's really got Oregon by the balls with all that leverage.

Heard the Sirius guys talking about this today and how Taggert may have jumped one year too soon

If he would have waited one more year, he would have had a loaded team at USF and could have slid right into Florida.

You hope he did. But he didn't. In fact, total opposite.

Once Mac was fired, guess who Kelly called?

Lot of rumors with him at FSU if Jimbo leaves. There is also a rumor that Taggart and Ole Miss are interested in each other. Taggart worked with Ross Bjork at WKU

If somehow Florida and FSU are not available there are rumblings that Taggart would be interested in Ole Miss as long as NCAA doesn't nail em. Long shot, lots would have to fall in place and even then might not happen. Worked with Ross Bjork at WKU and hired Tom Allen from Ole Miss to be his DC at USF.

I honestly don't understand the hate on the OM job. It's a good job.the new coach is going to get like 6 years minimum and there isn't a lot of pressure. If you beat State and are competitive in the west you are fine.

Taggart wants out of Oregon and wants to be in the south. OM fits that and he has familiarity with the AD at OM. Will he take it? Probably not. But to discount it isn't very smart.
