QB has nothing to do with calling the the exact same three running plays for over 90% of the games running plays. I right toss, Qb read, short side option...fricking pathetic gameplan management is the issue. I'm not saying JJ is or ever will be a good quarterback but Gary has done jack shite in creativity with the tools he has. TOP 90 OFFENSE.

As an admittedly amateur but somewhat knowledgeable fan/reader of offensive football, there are so many issues with Gary's offense I cannot even begin to understand it.

If Crowton is retained and Les puts all his eggs in the Mett basket, then I'll be extremely concerned heading into the 2011 season and I think Les is risking the trust and loyalty that remains from the fanbase.

what people are missing is the contract. it really doesn't matter if les wants gary to stay or not. gary is due 500k. gary made a stance earlier where he wasn't going to pursue a job for less than 500k.
les isn't going to come up with 500k himself. the athletic department isn't going to do it with all the academic cuts.
they are doing their time. if it's just the qb issue, then next year will be a success and gary will stay. if the offense is still a problem, he's gone. contract up.

If this was true, I'd be extremely pissed. 500K is nothing for TAF or the athletic department, which is seperate from academics. And if there doing it for PR purposes in regards to academics, they should realize that LSU's reputation isn't from academics. Heck, half the people in America think LSU is in New Orleans. They aren't following the latest happenings in college spending.
