100% inaccurate....the cuppboard is far from bare at LSU as opposed to Michigan...
What does Michigan's "Cuppboards" have to do with Miles possibly changing jobs?

I had posted a week ago about Robert Anae being a real candidate
isn't Anae a spread guy? so we've heard rumblings of him and Leach (from you and BP), does Les not want pro style/ smashmouth as much as some think?

I've posted before that Les is a complete believer in Zach Mettenberger and is HEAVILY invested in him...he thinks #8 is the answer to what ails us...
Last year that was the song being sung by Mike Scarborough regarding JJ... "Miles believes JJ is a championship QB."
If Crowton stays, it's an obvious statement that Les believes the offensive woes are due to the QB, not the Coordinator... and therefore I'd expect Mettenberger to be the 2011 starter.

I really hope Crowton leaves so i can bump all these "guarantee" threads.

Certainly nothing is a done deal, but these coaching change situations are unpredictable--a lot of things are so hard to predict. For example, so many seemed to think Mike Leach was definitely headed to Maryland and just a few days ago, we found out that was not the case. Many thought Dan Mullen would leave MSU with all those interested in him & that did not happen. So those of us who want Crowton to go should still not give up hope.

as good as Mett may be, it's still a stupid move.
IMO if you are going to go with Mett, start fresh with a new OC. Don't keep GC and find out after next year that it really is GC and you can him then. Now you have your second year player having to learn a new system....

if this is in fact the case, then Les needs to go. he obviously is satisfied with an offense that ranks 90+...
That is not obvious at all.
I too think Crowton should probably be replaced. But I also don't discount the fact that we have been severely limited by the personnel at QB. If Crowton is able to go back to his roots and get away from this spread stuff we just might see a good bit of improvement.

Two years ago, Chris Relf at Mississippi State could barely throw a forward pass.
FACT.
He was horrible. Even though I am primarily an LSU fan, I am a Miss. St. grad and follow that program closely as my second favorite team. My brother-in-law is a season ticket holder for State and a huge follower of the program. We were talking about Relf's progress over the past two years and it is nothing short of astounding. That is what Dan Mullen has done.
Look at Relf in the Gator Bowl. He is looking more and more like Cam Newton every day. THAT is what a good coach does for college players.
Jordan Jefferson has all the measurables of a Cam Newton or Chris Relf, for that matter. But, the best I've ever seen him play was the Chik-fil-a Bowl his freshman year against Georgia Tech when he had no idea what he was doing and just ad libbed it.
COACHING is the whole problem with our offense. Jarrett Lee has not improved one bit since his fresham year. Jefferson has regressed. Miles is an idiot (yes, I said it) IF he thinks that the QB's are the whole problem. Oh, and Chris Garrett was a complete waste too, right?
A good coach takes an average athlete and makes him good, a good athlete and makes him great - by designing an offense that he can flourish in. Crowton is incapable of that and has proved it EVERYWHERE he has ever been.
Crowton looks like a wizard on the chalkboard I am sure. I am sure that he can draw up some exciting plays. But, he can't coach. If he could, we would have an offense that was ranked higher than the lowest 20% of all of college football.
If Crowton stays, this is a disgrace.

I was indicting you... more that I hope Crowton is gone
Your position has been consistent since last year and you are never outrageous... so I don't really have reason to think you are full of shite.
