No insider. I'm just shocked that there was such a huge offer and ZERO people on FSU's side knew anything about it

I guess Jimbo wanted to leave FSU so badly he didn't even want to give FSU a shot to match.

1 + 1 = 5 to some LSU fans

It's okay, bro. Jimbeaux is still at FSU. It's all over now.

Chief Osceola and Renegade and Tomahawk Chop and Deion Sanders and Charlie Ward. Bobby got more hair than Weinke.

I really haven't seen a shred of credible evidence that Fisher talked to LSU

Why does it always work out that if "x" is the focus of a troll, it is guaranteed that "x" is more true of the attacker than the one being attacked?

Auburn is poor as frick. So why is it that the only morons saying that abut LSU, one of the most lucrative ADs in the country, are Auburn fans?

You're never gonna get confirmation from either side. LSU is not going to burn that bridge, and obviously Jimbo has nothing to gain by acknowledging anything.

Jimbo's FSU deal isn't a year old. It wasn't about that at all. The 2 programs are very similar, outside of conference, money, recruiting competition, and mostly just a change of scenery for he and his wife, given their circumstances.

I understand why FSU would get defensive about it. But don't think for a second that whichever job opens first b/w LSU and Alabama, that he won't be gone. People say Dabo will get AL job, but I think Saban will recommend Fisher.

And it wasn't Saban money that was agreed upon by Fisher/Sexton. It was 6 plus the difference of no sales tax in FL.

FWIW.....and I know no one will believe me

I have a friend who happened to be on Miles' staff with Jimbo. He is still a coach at another school. He talked to Jimbo this week, and was told he never really got very far in any negotiation. They both were laughing at all this media bullshite. He said it's safe to believe about 15% of all coaching rumors.

I said in the beginning that Jimbo wasn't going anywhere.

Watching the frenzy was fun...but Jimbo went no where.

I believe you, but I know it to be true because of similar conversations.

I have 2 friends connected in similar fashion at 2 different SEC schools. But neither school is Bama, so I really don't care 90% of the time. Oddly enough, they're both connected to their respective programs thanks to the same coach.

Actually, maybe not so oddly. Since coaches get passed around the SEC like a bong at a Bill Clinton frat party.

We as fans should know what to believe and not to believe by now. But trolling, and the chicken little syndrome, is a base setting for most humans. Just depends on which side the coin lands on.

I agree, there has been a fairly big difference between his record with Jameis and without him.

Did you see who all Jimbo lost to the NFL? 2 losses in a rebuilding year. Not bad, and one loss was on a fluke special teams play.

You do understand Sexton doesn't have to contact FSU right?

I have no doubt that Sexton talked to LSU. It doesn't mean it got that serious though.

I'd be shocked if Jimbo were still the coach at FSU in 5 years. Nothing to do with FSU, but just the way coaches move around now.

Because they didn't want to let FSU know he was leaving.
