Sounds about right

quote:

If Fisher was in "negotiations" with LSU, it's a very safe bet that Sexton would have let Florida State's administration know at some point. That is, after all, how you play the game -- and no one plays it better than Sexton. Even if Fisher had no interest, his agent certainly would want FSU to know he was being courted. At the very least, it would be a chance to show how loyal he is, if not for use as a bargaining chip. But in conversations with high-ranking folks at FSU, I was told the school's officials were never once contacted by anyone about Fisher being a candidate at LSU. Not by Sexton. Not by Fisher. And not by anyone at LSU. As of Friday afternoon, they insisted they still have never heard anything credible about Fisher being offered the job or being in negotiations

Nothing will make them believe he wasn't going to LSU

I really haven't seen a shred of credible evidence that Fisher talked to LSU

You've seemed awfully mad about this whole situation. Angry that Jimbo was more keen on LSU than Auburn?

Lol at thinking Auburn is close to LSU as a program. Enjoy your second rate coach while the rats (Muschamp) scurry off the sinking ship.

Truth. Happened to me. Also avoid combos of the words "the" and "poors."

Tony Barnhart said on Finebaum a minute ago that he heard that Jimbo wanted Saban money and LSU was not willing to give him Saban money.

Jimbo isn't worth Saban money and it would have been damn stupid to give it to him.

I agree, there has been a fairly big difference between his record with Jameis and without him.

We need an update to the rules page. They should just say "No negativity at all whatsoever".

Jimbo had been negotiating and a deal was in place at 6ml a year, but at the last minute Jimbo asked for 7ml and LSU balked.

TheOcean is an FSU "insider". He mostly has good info, but he is completely biased. He can't comprehend that Jimbo wanted to come to LSU bc FSU is where his bread is buttered. Call it too close to the situation. He wants a link or source but there is no way to get him one, so he thinks he wins the argument that Jimbo wasn't interested and wasn't coming. Not even sure why he is here except to make himself feel better.

Saw article today saying that King and Alevea met during the A&M game and decided to keep Miles because in total, with what Jimbo wanted, his buyout, Miles' buyout it came to a total of 30 million. That and cuts to the University and Miles' support, they said, no......but I don't believe everything I read.
