They don't want him to stay. Half their fan base has wanted him fired all year. The meeting is about whether or not they let him coach tmrw but I'm sure all those with the sources knew that already.

It is honestly horse shite he can be coordinating with another school to coach there, all while still being at FSU and holding them hostage.

There has to be some language in the contract in which "actions detrimental to FSU" are a with cause offense to be fired

You honestly think employees should have to quit before investigating other jobs? That's like...dumb.

It's getting ugly in Tallahassee and while I have no faith in FSU admin getting anything right at this point, the meeting is going to be focused on getting Jimbo the hell out of here and shooting down this coaching on Saturday thing. There are people staking out the airport waiting on these flights that were fouind on flightaware, and at least one player has said directly that he would transfer if Jimbo is allowed to be on the sidelines Saturday. John James really wanted to string it all out so he could coach Saturday and and not have to be known as a 5-6 coach, but that simply cannot be allowed to happen. The fact that he would actually do that knowing full well the complete shitshow it would be is just disturbing.

No. I think when it gets to the point Jimbo has taken it, it is more than looking at other jobs. I think he has a deal in place, which means he no longer has FSUs best interest, which would be dumb for FSU to not try and prevent that through any means neccessarry

You think an employee should have to quit one job before verbally accepting another job? Still dumb.

No. I think once an employer verbally accepts a job with another competitor, he should get the frick out

My first job out of college, I taught math and coached at a JH. In year two, in April, I was offered a job at a high school in a different town. I accepted, then finished my year. Pretty common, really. Folks around me knew about it, but were mature enough to be glad that I had made a decision that I felt was best for myself and my family. Of course, I would never have abandoned my classes before the year was up.

He wants to coach the last game. They don't want him to coach the last game. But they can't fire him. So they are trying to figure out what to do. The tried to stoke a player revolt earlier this morning, but it didn't catch.

This is really starting to remind me of the Play Now Seinfeld episode

I worked at EY. I then took at job to Work for KPMG. When I went to tell them, they kindly told me to have my shite out within an hour.

Pretty common really

Verbally accepting a competitors offer, and continuing to work at your same job, is not common at all.

Jimbo is trying to claim he has yet to make a decision. If FSU can prove he has(or convince Jimbo to have any decency), they can give his arse the boot

Is there any possibility they could fire him? They seem angry, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they fire him before he can announce he is leaving

no chance

he would be owed 40M if fired

this meeting is about finding the next HC, i'm sure

I bet it's not about trying to keeping Jimbo. It's probably about finding a way to not let him coach on Saturday.

Chances the board meets and decides “frick it, let him go...we can get another coach here.”

it is entirely up to him if he coaches tomorrow or not. They can't do anything, unless they want to pay him a cool 40M.

Of course they can ask him to voluntarily hit the road.
