LSU has had our number the last years, no doubt.

I blame cigar voodoo.

Even if he does come, this will never be the case as long as Saban is at Bama:

I will be the first to admit LSU had Auburn's number. It has also been one my favorite matches up for the past decade.

Talking with a UGA grad/coworker of mine this morning, who sounded almost disappointed that Pruitt turned out well for them this year. His thinking was that Pruitt is the type of coach that will be in-line for a HC job somewhere in the not-too-distant future, and will bounce at the opportunity… dismissing some of the obvious coaching improvements Pruitt brought to the defense. All he would talk about is how Muschamp could make the rest of his career at UGA, potentially learning from Richt & taking over as HC at the right time.

I felt like he wasn't sold on the idea that Pruitt is Richt's missing puzzle piece to get to a national title. To me, Muschamp is a great DC, but he doesn't have magic fairy dust in his back pocket… Pruitt can do the job at UGA with the right talent.

Does that make sense to you guys? Is Muschamp really that much better than everyone else as a defensive coach?

Sorry I'm off topic.

Well, he's what Auburn needs at least after so many years straight of bad defense. A fiery DC actually on the sidelines getting after the players. No more pressbox, vanilla expression BS for 4 quarters.

I don't know why fellow Auburn fans think that being on the sidelines matters so much.

He isn't referring to the coaching ability but our defensive player's attitude. We field a defense full of marshmallows.
