He was Miami's top pick for HC and was already offered the "parameters" of the offer and he has said he will not return to coaching and instead said he was flattered but he is focusing on his job with Monday Night Football on ESPN.

So Gruden wont be coaching anywhere! Got it?

So all of the talk about Gruden coaching anywhere, (including LSU) is over! Move along.

He is upping the anty for an NFL team that may come in and offer him.

Its called leverage.

Or he just didn't like the "parameters" of the offer.

Why? He could have a Kush job at ESPN and not have to work the long stressful hours. Already has more money than he knows what to do with

I've been a big Gruden fan for years. Since Oakland to be exact.

He isnt coming back to coaching. Period.

He gets $5 million a year from Tampa Bay and if he goes to any NFL team, that is over.

Plus he just inked a longterm lucretive deal with ESPN for MNF.

He's not going anywhere.

He didn't want to coach at MIAMI.

He would come to LSU though.

shite he makes multiple millions doing MNF. when madden was finishing up he was making $7M a year or so

i wouldn't be shocked if he made $5M/year doing MNF

so he'll have to take a paycut and work a lot more? doubtful

Yea that would mean is brain damaged.

I am a huge LSU fan as they come and I would take Miami over LSU for a HC job. Easier to win and living in Miami and not living in the "hood" that is B.R.,

I think its around $4 million a year from ESPN and MNF and another $5 million a year from Tampa Bay.

So he is pulling in around $9 mil a year all together, to "talk" about football.

I undertsand as far as talent but everything else Miami is better. The ACC is weak and easy to win. Its not in trashy Baton Rouge and is in beautiful Miami! You dont have to play Saban every year.

True but so did LSU when Saban was hired. Thats not a big problem.

not much money

The A.D. said today money would not be a problem. They have what it will take to hire anyone and are ready to hure the best.

and iffy fan/booster support

Unless you win and/or have a great top tier coach. How could anyone expect excitment under Shannon. I knew he was a goat they day he was hired. They have been sandbagging money to hire a big gun and Shannon was just the 'token" black coach to coach until this day came.
