I really thought Venables was going to replace Snyder at KState. Great grab if they can get him.

My theory was Bob becomes AD and hires Venables as HC.

Venables isn't coming, but I appreciate Morris swinging for the fences.

I’d rather he’d swing for the fences than settle fo retread former fired head coaches like Bert did

Hog fans better hope Morris is the right hire. Arkansas State Redwolves are the better program in the state of Arkansas right now.

I know recruits don't see it that way, because its SEC vs. Sunbelt. However, Arkansas St. could definitely compete on the field with Arkansas right now. No worries for Hog fans though, we both know that game will never happen.

I guess Jax State is the 2nd best program in Alabama then currently by your reasoning.

By what reasoning would that make Jacksonville St. the second best program in Alabama?

More wins higher ranked and more in the national playoffs

I mean in no way is stAte the program Arkansas is, but you just went there and tried to do it erroneously.

My reasoning is by seeing both teams play several times, and deducing that ASU could definitely beat UA this year. That's it. Maybe saying better team would be the correct wording as opposed to program.

I'd hate this just because of the precedent it would set with assistant salaries.

state would not beat Arkansas. Also, they will NEVER get the chance to and nor should they.

Yep. It would. And I don't care enough to argue how you'd compete with one of our worst teams ever. Congrats on the moral victory.

agree. Arky needs to stop being desperate as hell and needlessly inflating the market.

They would this year. And it's definitely stupid that they will never play. Most if not all other D1 programs in other states play each other from time to time if not regularly. Outdated Frank Broyles policy.........
