He might be the only way they save it all from being a huge disaster and saying to WT.

It's head coach or bust for him.

Have we talked about how Taggart is going to murder Mullen on the recruiting trail

is an established elite recruiter,

I am a fan of Taggart and have been for a long time, but not sure I would say he is an established elite recruiter unless we are basing that on this year. His classes at USF were solid, but nothing special or out of the ordinary for USF. His last class was 5th best in the AAC behind Houston, UCF, Memphis and Temple and the one prior finished 66th in the country. He's also had some public issues with Florida HS coaches in the past.

Taggart is a good, medium risk high reward type hire.

Already 3 top 4* trending to FSU with the hire. He will have a really nice class this year

Dude can recruit. He needs a staff. Leavitt cannot talk to other schools until Dec. 16. Hope Oregon can get in his ear and retain him because he will wreck shop at FSU.

You think Oregon will consider him for the HC position after his history at USF?

Not saying he can’t recruit, he’s obviously done well at Oregon.

I don't know. The fan base wants him and he wants the job. I think most believe he paid his penalty. I personally like how he's conducted himself at Oregon.

He seems like a good and likeable guy on the surface. But then again, most coaches do

I just think that if they were going to give him strong consideration, they would have named him the interim.

It wouldn't be the first internal hire where another position coach was interim. I think that was Houston last year. Anyway, it is pause for concern.

I do know that Cristobal is highly organized and reports are that he likes the West Coast. He might be a better pick for the interim.

Jimbo recruited well too. I don’t think there will be a noticeable change in their recruiting.

2 4 stars fromt the state of Florida who committed to Oregon are probably going to follow Taggart to FSU, so I'd say the change is noticeable right off the bat

Who can't recruit well at FSU? Taggart has to prove to me he can't get it done on the field. So far nothing about him makes me think he can push FSU past Miami or Clemson. Had FSU hired Kiffin now that would've been a move.

Word on FL panhandle sports radio this evening is that Leavitt is coming to FSU too unless he gets a good HC gig.
