Drinkwitz could be a solid hire. He's young and staff at Mizzou is supposed to be very good as well.
I do think they need someone to clean up their culture. Rhule would have been an awesome hire for them but their timing was off.

A&M is a worse program, worse situation with alum’s and boosters, much harder recruiting region, and I’m not sure they could pay next coach a lot more than $7 Mil a year.
It’s a lateral move for Lanning. And moving is hard — it’s like lighting a match to 1-2 years of your career.

Both are attainable & could come to terms right now.
They have a lot of $$ but they don't have unlimited $$... I can't imagine they'd plunk down $20m+ on a buyout after spending $75m on Jimbo's.

Truly think Kiffin is the target. He is loyal to no one and will go where the money is at.. he knows ole miss is a stepping stone program. He needs the resources to recruit at a higher level to get the athletes he wants/needs.
Traylor/Elko/Drinkwitz would be solid. Don’t think they fired jimbo to take an up and comer though, feel like they will try and make a big name splash.

Not a reach, but, I’ll call it now. Kiffin takes the job. He knows he cannot and will never be able to “buy” the talent at Ole Miss; he has said as much so. Limitless NIL, facilities, resources, TX recruiting, etc. I believe he takes the job in a heartbeat, if offered.
