I was told today that UT is willing to offer far more than what is probably on that contract that is sitting on Saban's desk. Alabama should kindly rip the contract up, pretend it didn't happen and start again...

First of all, the contract would be on Sexton's desk, not Sabans

IF Nick were to leave, how would he spin it?

Leaving LSU for Miami/NFL made sense...and leaving Miami for Alabama made sense at the time too.

Would it be that much more big of a deal to win a title at UT versus winning another one at Alabama?

or is all about the money and being "appreciated"?

First coach ever to win titles with three schools. It's a legacy issue, not monetary

Second, Saban NEVER has a buy-out in his contracts. He can sign one today and walk away tomorrow at no cost to him.

I am NOT predicting anything and not hoping, either. I am simply watching and waiting. But, Saban having a contract has NO bearing on his going anywhere else he wants to go.

Probably because athletic departments don't feel the need to answer to message board rumors.

He would frame it as a new challenge to cap off his career and leave his agent to do the Spurrier thing and imply that the old fanbase got too spoiled and unrealistic.

Something about the Cade Foster thing being an "eye opening experience" or some such BS.

LINK

It might not play out exactly as I relay it, because these things are always fluid, but I feel confident that my UT source has great connections.

Also, you will soon see UT embark on a $250 million stadium expansion that will include a wall of suites in the unenclosed endzone...no bleachers...just suites...at $150k per year per suite...and they will also be building underground facilities at the same location.

Yes it is. You linked to the Dallas Morning News asking the readership if Saban is coming, a prank, bleacher report and a bunch of links with the word rumor in the title. Fail.
