Who does an overwhelming job!

Since when has LSU ever hired a AAA coach? NEVER! Since when has that made a difference? NEVER!

We've never, ever, hired a top tier winning coach from a top tier program in the last 50 years. It won't be any different this time. It also won't be any different that whoever we hire will WIN and WIN BIG!

Please quit the hand wringing if we hire a name like Tucker or whoever, all we need is a half way competent coach and LSU will rule! When you've hired Lester Miles and Ed Orgeron, that tells you plenty! Those bozos won NC's.

Saban was the guy we beat in the Independence Bowl...what were we doing hiring him? So underwhelming at the time.

Michigan State isn’t a top tier program, but Saban did go 9-2 and the team went 10-2 finished #7 with wins over the #5, 11, 24 teams in the country and the team he built beat #14 Florida in the bowl game.

That’s a pretty fricking good hire

In 2016 there was a bigtime coaching market available and the hire ended up being Orgeron, which was extremely underwhelming. Les Miles was also underwhelming.

Hell, even Saban's resume before he was hired at LSU was pretty "meh" and there would be tons of people bitching about a coach with the exact same resume being discussed now.

Have some perspective people. Very few programs have the talent and recruiting base that LSU has, who knows what someone like Chadwell or Napier could do with that talent. By all accounts they're great coaches that have gotten more out of less, but don't have the best W-L resume because they aren't at programs that are bigtime, have top recruits, and aren't serious about football.

Perspective is needed badly here

LSU fans bitch about everything. They bitched that Joe Burrow’s arse didn’t have a tan in the TAMU game, calling into question his game preparation.

They bitched about Ed O
They bitched about Miles
They even bitched about Saban

You’re talking to a bunch of sad, pathetic guys who secretly wish they could coach football. So what do they do? They post like rabid dogs on a message board hoping to god their random hot take will be right so that they can feel good about saying, “see? I told ya so! I should be coaching football!”

LSU has never hired a big time coach, it's not going to start now and it won't matter. Just get a competent guy and we're golden! Riley and names like him will never come to LSU. All they have to do is check in with Sabans wife. She had to tell Nick "this isn't Baton Rouge" when considering Alabama. We can't get a pick of the litter with that chatter in the back channels.

LSU has won the second most national championships since BCS-CFP era began. Hired Saban and Jimbo until we kept Les for another half year!

AD shows excellent past performance.
Only Saban, Dabo, and Ryan Day are untouchable.
Have a little faith Nancy.

The only thing you need to know is this...

"Nick, this isn't Baton Rouge"

Don't think coaches hear that?

We're getting a second rate coach who will do a first rate job.

I don't want to be underwhelmed or overwhelmed.

Can we get a hire that is just whelmed?

You sho is angry, for no reason at all

Napier > Orgeron, and somehow the lesser won a national championship and went undefeated at LSU. Napier easily could too, multiple times since he actually has a process and organization and knows how to coach one side of the ball. So could someone like Chadwell.

But you knuckledraggers will only be happy with someone like Riley, Saban, or Meyer and will bitch like crazy if they aren't them because you think LSU is a much better job than it actually is. LSU is the 16th most winning program of all time, which is damn good but not on the level of an OU or a Bama.

Here's some perspective: Oklahoma is 10 spots higher than LSU on the all-time wins list. 10 spots.

Grow up.

Neither do you, apparently.

Napier would kill it at LSU, and he's not even my first choice. But I damn sure wouldn't bitch like half of you losers if he were the hire
