They’ve lost their minds. Talking about something needs to be done about the timing of coaching searches. Like there needs to be controls on when coaches can leave and when they can be talked to by other schools. ITS A FREE MARKET!! Comparing it with the NFL where coaches can’t be spoken to until after the season is over. With recruiting that’s impossible.

I actually think they do need to push ESD back a bit. Kids are making decisions with only half the information.

It’s pure insanity right now. Move the early signing day to July or August and all of this goes away.

I think it should be a true ESD in the summer before the season, so programs can focus on kids who want to commit early before camp and the season. Then the traditional signing day will be in the perfect spot after the coaching and portal dust settles.
That said, later would be better the. What we have now. It would just make the later signing day kind of redundant.

July or Aug. won’t solve the problem at all. Only way to fix it is to get rid of the early signing period. Have one in Feb and that’s it.

Never had a problem announcing a fake “Miles to Michigan” on game day before the SEC Championship game. That was 14 years ago. Silence until now…

What about players getting NIL deals benefiting off the universities and then sitting out of a bowl game. What about that?

It can still be a free market if you push back/forward early signing day so that coaching exoduses don't happen before bowls.

Or better yet kids need to realize they are committing to a school not a coach.

They need to be blaming the NCAA for the timing of early signing date that’s what started this. We was already at the spot with these schools with a win now mentality changing coaches every two or three years , this just made it worse And up the timing

At the end of the day it’s just a job and there shouldn’t be any restrictions on employment opportunities.

Right, because Bryce Young playing at Youngstown St don't get the same NIL deal. IMO this is part of being paid to play... You play all the games
