Looks like he’s bringing his O-line Coach with him from ND. Davis would be a huge asset to him with the Louisiana culture and recruiting. It will be interesting to see if he is retained, and in what capacity.

Davis had a 3 year contract. So, I hope they keep him in the program. But, ain't gonna be an assistant HC.

I hope so. Could you imagine the OL we would recruit with B Davis on a BK staff.

My hope is keep B Davis as OL coach...
The Quinn guy BK is bringing can be TE coach and Assistant HC.

Well, apparently it ain’t going to be OL Coach either, since Kelly is expected to bring in his OL Coach from ND. Maybe Recruiting Coordinator and some other position coach? We’ll see.

Why not?

He was named interim HS for the bowl game.

I feel bad for that dude if not. He ditched a good gig at Arkansas to come home to BR for one season, then possibly dumped. Hopefully, Kelly finds a spot for him.

Hope he is retained too... Sam Pittman seems to be a pretty good OL Coach and if he picked Davis then it must have been for a reason. I know this year did not show it.

Well his DL coach will likely be his recruiting coordinator.

Brad Davis will either stay and split line responsibilities with Quinn (one as tackles/TEs and one as guards/centers) or he will head out. Hope we can keep him, but gotta let BK set his staff.

He has a good enough resume to land on his feet. He’ll be fine.

That seems to have been the OL coach prior to this guy...

I'm a huge Davis fan, but you can't argue with the talented OLines Notre Dame has been rolling out there year after year. If he brings his own OL guy in with him it wouldn't be the end of the world.

eh he got a big raise and won't have trouble finding employment if not retained...or he doesn't even have to work

I don't think it was dumb.

quote:

Davis was given a three-year contract extension, many assistant coaches in college football are lucky to get two-year deals, with an average salary of $830,000, according to Brody Miller of The Athletic.

Davis was set to make $550,000 at Arkansas this season.

so he doesn't even have to work the next 2 seasons if he chooses not to. He wins

He got a huge contract.

My guess is they keep him on staff in some way.

Brad Davis will get a new job ASAP. Learned from Pittman, and he's young. Wouldn't surprise me if he joins another SEC team very soon.
